How to start

Send one clear reference

A product photo, drawing, tech pack, existing garment or even an AI concept image is enough for an initial review. Include the expected quantity, destination and target date.

Custom Workwear Reference Styles

These products are starting points, not fixed stock. Colours, fabrics, pockets, fit, logos and packing can be changed after review.

Start with how your team works.

Tell us what staff carry, how they move and where their clothing gets the most wear. Those details guide the pocket layout, fit, fabric and construction. Work trousers need attention to the waistband, rise, leg shape and closures; jackets and coveralls need room for reach, movement and the layers worn underneath. Include expected washing conditions and any reinforcement needs. These practical details help turn a visual reference into workwear that addresses the tasks you describe.

  • Place pockets around the tools and everyday items staff need to carry.
  • Describe working positions and any layers.
  • Share fabric preferences, washing requirements and areas that need attention.

Keep what works and improve the details.

Bring a current jacket, trouser or coverall and tell us what staff like about it. You may want to retain a familiar fit while changing the colour, branding or selected details, or develop different materials and construction. A reference photo, sketch or AI concept is also enough to start; LF helps turn it into a practical specification and sample. Both approaches follow your quality requirements. Use the sample to assess fit, access and appearance before approving production.

Keep production connected to the approved sample.

Specialist production partners make the garments, with LF managing development, samples and production follow-up. The approved sample and specification guide checks on measurements, materials, seams, closures, logos, quantities and packing. We follow progress and communicate issues through your supplier contact. Relevant fabric reports can be provided, and custom finished-garment tests can be arranged for an additional fee. Include testing needs in the initial brief so the scope and cost can form part of the quotation.

Plan the order by garment and staff group.

One workwear range can cover several departments, each with its own garment combination and size quantities. List jackets and trousers separately, even when they form a set, and add artwork, destinations and required arrival dates. Tell us if packing needs to identify particular teams or locations. LF coordinates those details alongside the clothing, giving purchasing staff one place to discuss the order. Quantities, materials and customisation determine the minimums and price for each item.

Custom Workwear Questions

Do we need full development for a conventional workwear order?

No. If a familiar style already fits the job, start with logo application and selected colour or detail changes. For a different fabric, fit, pocket layout or construction, discuss the development needed. We explain the options and cost from your reference and quantities; a new design is not required for every order.

Can different departments wear different garments with the same branding?

Yes. Shared artwork and colour references can connect jackets, trousers, coveralls and other staff clothing across your teams. Each garment can retain the details needed for its role. Send the staff groups and garment quantities together so we can plan the range and samples as one order.

When do sampling and bulk production begin?

After order confirmation and payment of the sample fee, sampling starts as soon as possible. Clothing samples take 7–12 days. Bulk production follows approval of the sample, materials and order details. Timing depends on the products, quantities and customisation; production and shipping are planned against your required arrival date.

What if our workwear needs protective performance?

Share the intended use, destination market and required standards at the start. We assess the garment, materials and testing needed for those requirements. Any custom garment tests are quoted separately. The finished garment needs its own supporting evidence; a fabric report alone does not establish certification.
